System Requirements

The following list contains the minimum hardware and software requirements to run the code samples provided with the book.

  • .NET 3.5 Framework

  • Visual Studio 2008 Express Edition or greater

  • 50 MB of available space on the installation drive

For Team Build chapters:

  • Visual Studio 2008 Professional with Team Foundation Client 2008

  • Some functionality (such as Code Analysis) requires Visual Studio Team System 2008 for Software Developers

  • Some functionality (such as Web and Load Tests) requires Visual Studio Team System 2008 for Testers

  • Access to a server running Team Foundation Server 2008

  • Access to a build machine running Team Foundation Build 2008 (Chapter 10 walks you through installing this)
