Every organization that searches for ways of bridging the gap between the world of the information workers and the structured world of the LOB systems should consider the BDC as a possible solution. In this chapter, we have not reviewed all of the options that are possible with the BDC. The main focus was on indexing and searching and how those topics are related to the business data that is made available through the BDC.
