Extending the End-User Search Experience Through Code

Next we’ll have a look at the options for customizing and extending the search end-user experience from a developer angle. The goal is to give guidance on how you as a developer can create reusable extensions for the Search Center. The examples we’ll cover include adding extra search-related page layouts and pages, adding tabs to the Search Center, dynamically adding and configuring the various Search Web Parts, and substituting the small Search box with a custom one.
