Summary

Finding the correct information is often crucial in the daily work of information workers. In this chapter, you’ve learned about the out-of-the-box end-user search experience delivered in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Office SharePoint Server 2007. End users have two basic ways of executing a search query: they can use the small Search box or navigate to a dedicated Search Center. Both of these methods were discussed in this chapter, along with the various options you have as an end user working with the small Search box and the Search Center. In Chapter 3, you’ll learn how to configure and customize the end-user search experience.
