Chapter 5. Communicating with Other Users

Communication with your users is a critical part of your job as a system administrator. The users are your customers, and happy users make for good job security. In my years of managing systems, the first task in any project is to communicate with users what changes I plan to make and when I plan to make them. Their input is critical on any project I attempt.
