Rotating the Template
Because we will use 0% of the original poster in our re-creation, straightening out the poster is okay, thus losing a little of the original poster detail. Let's fix the poster now:
Straightening Out the Poster
1. | Open the SeeAmerica.tif poster from the Examples/Chap19 folder on the companion CD. |
2. | Zoom out so you can see the poster from edge to edge. |
3. | With the Rectangular Marquee tool, select the poster out of the background, with about 1/4" around the edges to spare. |
4. | Right-click (Macintosh: hold Ctrl and click) and choose Layer Via Cut from the context menu. Delete the Background layer. |
5. | Press Ctrl()+R to display the ... |
