Clone Stamp Tool Techniques

Using the Clone Stamp tool by itself isn't hard. What might be a challenge, however, is knowing when and where to use the tool. Not to worry; this book contains solutions, not problems. In the steps to follow, we'll go from the “easy” cloning to the “difficult” cloning.

Cleaning Up the Bottom Edge of the Guitar

Now it's time to clean up a bit. We'll start at the bottom of the Tama guitar:

Zoom in to a 300% viewing resolution of the bottom of the guitar.

On the Layers palette, click the Background layer to make it the active (editing) layer.

Choose the Clone Stamp tool, choose a hard brush tip, and adjust the Master Diameter to about 30 pixels.
