Executive Summary

The Executive Summary should give a brief overview of the assessment and your findings. The pages of the Executive Summary should be numbered i, ii, and so on, and it should be the first thing to appear after the cover page of the report. The Executive Summary is basically divided into several paragraphs. These should include

  1. A brief overview of the organization. Include the mission and purpose of the organization, who their customers are, and how many people are employed at what locations.

  2. Information as to why the vulnerability assessment was performed. What drove this project? Was it to demonstrate due diligence; comply with state, provincial, or federal laws; or because of a breach in security? There should also be information ...
