Summary
Exchange Web Services provides two methods to allow you to discover changes that have occurred to your mailbox from some starting point (indicated by the SyncState) until the time that the request is made. SyncFolderHierarchy allows you to determine changes that have occurred to the folder hierarchy. SyncFolderHierarchy calls always start in the IPM subtree (msgfolderroot) and consider all changes within the folder hierarchy (deep traversal). In addition, there is no way to limit the number of changes returned by SyncFolderHierarchy—all changes since the point in time suggested by the supplied SyncState will be returned.
