Chapter 2. The MorphX Development Environment

The objectives of this chapter are to:

  • Introduce MorphX, the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 integrated development environment (IDE).

  • Show how the MorphX IDE is used throughout a typical product cycle model.

  • Describe the application model elements and their relationships.

Dynamics AX has two development environments: Microsoft Visual Studio, used primarily for developing Enterprise Portal and reports, and MorphX, the main Dynamics AX IDE and the focus of this chapter.
