Installing Network Load Balancing

NLB is very easy to install. It can be installed as a service for any network card in a server. In some situations, you might want to dedicate one of the network cards in the server for NLB and use the other card for normal network traffic. The following instructions cover how to set it up:

1.
Open the Local Area Connection icon from the Start menu, Settings, Network and Dial-Up Connections folder.
2.
Click the Install button, select Service, and then click OK.
3.
Select the Network Load Balancing service, and then click OK.
4.
Highlight the Network Load Balancing service and select Properties.
