Prototyping the WAN

You need to make two main decisions when setting up Terminal Server on the WAN. First, you must determine what protocol to use. With Terminal Server, the choice is obvious: TCP/IP. With MetaFrame, you can use TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, or even NetBEUI with bridging. This choice is not always obvious and might depend on many factors. For one, you need to consider performance. TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, and NetBEUI vary in their performance and network bandwidth utilization.
