As a final note, if you are considering a thin client solution, also be sure to consider some of the many low-end desktop solutions available. Many desktop manufacturers, such as Compaq, IBM, and Dell, now offer lower end desktop solutions with sufficient power to run most business applications at a price that is at or near what thin client terminal manufacturers charge for their products.
These desktop solutions have local storage, which allows for the installation of standard Windows applications locally; however, they are generally designed to be small and easy to manage, making them an excellent choice for corporations that want the most in terms of future flexibility and ease of management.
