Checking Standards

After you have discovered a standards problem you will usually have to fix it. The time needed to fix a drawing or many drawings can then be the difference between making the deadline or getting that bonus. Having the best drawing does nothing if your client returns it because it did not follow project standards.

In the previous section you created a Drawing Standard file (DWS). This file contains the all-important information that needs to be followed. Once you have your standards files ready, then you can link them to a drawing and take advantage of their internal information. The next exercise shows how to do this.
