The ACIS Solid Modeler

The solid modeling commands in AutoCAD 2002 are supplied by the ACIS 4.0 solid modeler. This modeler takes advantage of the AutoCAD 2002 load-on-demand architecture, so the modeler program tools are loaded only when you access the commands. As a result, when you access any one of the various solid commands for the first time in a modeling session, there might be a slight delay as the set of modeler functions load.

The solid modeling commands are located on their own toolbar, called the Solids toolbar, as shown in Figure 30.1.
