Editing Mesh Surfaces

After a surface has been created using one of the commands described in this chapter, there are two methods for editing that surface in addition to the standard editing commands, such as MOVE, ROTATE, and SCALE. Those two methods are grip editing and the PEDIT command.

Grip editing works on a surface just as it does on any other AutoCAD object. The one difference is that surfaces generally have more grips you can easily manipulate. However, all modes of Grip editing, including Move, Scale, Rotate, Mirror, and Stretch, will work with surfaces. Figure 29.24 shows the grip’s density of a typical 3D surface.
