Working with Linked OLE Objects
When you insert an OLE object and link it to its original file, the file can be edited in its source application, and the linked object automatically updated. This means that when a linked object is inserted in a drawing, and the object’s original file is modified, the linked OLE object in AutoCAD automatically updates to reflect the modifications. This feature is very useful for ensuring that the latest version of an inserted OLE object appears in an AutoCAD drawing.
