Summary

Hatching is a powerful tool for clarifying the meaning of your drawing or for conveying information to the reader. Effective use of hatching is one of the more powerful features of computer-aided design. Hatching is easy to apply using the BHATCH command and just as easy to edit with the HATCHEDIT command. Creating associative hatch objects lets you modify the hatched area easily after its creation. You can even design your own hatch patterns and add them to those that are supplied with AutoCAD.
