.NET components provide powerful and flexible code re-usability features, which—although possible in ASP—were somewhat of a specialist area. In this chapter you have seen how easy it is to convert a code-intensive web page into a business object—subsequently turn that business object into a component, and finally to adapting the final component so that it can be recognized by a COM+ system. However, only the fundamentals of this technology have been covered. Two other component types that can be created were mentioned, but we have not gone into detail on serviced components.
