ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Christian Terwiesch is a professor of operations and information management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also is the academic director of the Strategic R&D Management Program, a one-week executive education program offered by the Wharton-INSEAD alliance focusing on R&D and innovation. Professor Terwiesch’s research is in the area of R&D management and innovation as well as in more traditional topics in operations management such as process analysis and supply chain management. Over the last fifteen years, Professor Terwiesch has collaborated with companies such as Intel, Merck, Dell, Medtronic, BMW, and several large hospitals.
