Installing and Setting up OnLine
At some point, you will need to be able to install and set up an Informix OnLine or IDS system. This will occur during an initial installation, during an installation on or upgrade to a new computer system, or during an upgrade to your existing system. As installations go, the Informix install process is usually relatively painless, but of course there are exceptions.
There seems to be a rule that software companies spend 20 quadrillion man years developing their products and about 10 minutes writing the install programs.
