About the authors

Dr John Crawford retired in December 2009 after a career mainly spent in academic libraries, although he initially worked in public and school libraries. He was the founder and director of the Scottish Information Literacy Project which began in 2004 and concluded in the spring of 2010. He now leads its successor project, an online community of practice – Information Skills for a 21st Century Scotland (http://www.therightinformation.org/).
