This chapter provides an overview of what a platform to support all analytics users and requirements would look like. This is an outline only, and will illustrate functional components that are leveraged to achieve the end-to-end analytics workflow: the analytics life cycle. The ultimate goal of an analytics platform is to create the shortest path from data to decision, and this could be in the form of an infographic that is created from a vast volume of data in your organization.
