Programmable automation controller

Abstract

This chapter discusses the programmable automation controllers (PACs), a relatively new concept in industrial automation that bridges the gap between the various existing controllers. The advantages and disadvantages of each of these systems and relative application area in which PAC systems are applicable are also discussed. Some of the financial benefits for the implementation of the PAC systems in the industrial applications are discussed as an outline.
