Distributed control system

Abstract

Introduction to the distributed control systems (DCSs), different types of the controls, and evaluation of such systems were discussed. Different types of the controllers used in the distributed control and relative advantages and disadvantages of such systems were discussed. The subsystems used in the DCS, hardware and software components are elaborated. The functional components were further discussed individually for the components and then the topologies of the DCS along with the engineering guidelines for the implementation.
