While the motor is operating under loaded

In the various types of static drives discussed so far, the supply voltage would adjust automatically at a level just sufficient to drive the motor to meet its load requirements. Hence it is not necessary for the motor to be applied with full voltage at all times: the voltage adjusts with the load. This is an in-built ability of a static drive that would save energy and losses.
