Wide column stores

Wide column stores—a type of key-value stores—ensure data storage in records and can contain large numbers of dynamic columns. In such a store, names and record keys can vary within the same table.

Examples of wide column stores are Cassandra, HBase, and Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB.
