Cloud for the IoT

Over the past few years, some of the industrial giants have put in significant work in trying to come up with their own cloud offerings to keep their data in-house as well as build domain-specific expertise required to do successful IoT implementations. However, running and operating a cloud offering is not their core business and they are increasingly turning towards major cloud providers to supply them with these required functionalities. The cloud providers will continue to provide more focused offerings in the IIoT space but the enterprises will need to invest in creating wrappers and customized solutions on top of these offerings.
