TYPOGRAPHY IS ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS, and good typographers tend to be mildly obsessive by temperament. But this sweating the small stuff is more than just nitpicking; it’s about clear communication. Attending to detail requires that we take charge of our computers so that they don’t force us into making amateurish mistakes. All design programs have some dumb default settings, and InDesign is no exception.
