One of the reasons why InDesign has become so popular is that it uses many of the same tools, panels, and onscreen elements that are found in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. This makes it very easy to use your knowlege of those programs to learn InDesign. With InDesign cs5, this synergy between all the programs is even stronger than ever before.
