Data migration
In this chapter, we describe how to migrate from a conventional storage infrastructure to a virtualized storage infrastructure by using the IBM System Storage SAN Volume Controller. We also explain how the SAN Volume Controller can be phased out of a virtualized storage infrastructure; for example, after a trial period or after using the SAN Volume Controller as a data migration tool.
