Using custom CSS

In earlier versions of Splunk, you could utilize CSS stylesheets to override the default look of a Splunk application. One common element to change was the application icon in the application bar. You could follow these steps to do just that:

  1. First, create a file named application.css. This file will be loaded on every dashboard of the application containing it. The CSS is listed later in this section. As of Splunk Version 4.3.2, the first time application.css is added to an app of Version 4.3.2, a restart is required before the file is served to the users. Subsequent updates do not require a restart.
