Summary

In this chapter, we have examined a range of capabilities of FTP and the File connector will behave the same way when using the connectivity agent (which is covered in Chapter 11,Calling an On-Premises API). We have looked at the use of the scheduler to trigger an integration, along with the manual trigger of the integration. We have explored some more advanced strategies for data transformation. We have also examined file encryption and decryption. Finally, we looked at how ICS is evolving in this area and how it is likely to become significantly more feature rich.

The next chapter introduces how ICS provides a means of performing a level of Orchestration in the integration.
