Resource-based routing

Resource-based routing can be used to direct requests to specific resource paths to different service request URLs. Although the MRA use case does not require this type of routing, it is worth mentioning it here as this type of routing can be useful in a modern architecture where resources are implemented in different and separate microservices but where the API manager wishes to maintain a common URI for accessing the resources.

Microservice implementations can be registered as services using the API management portal. The following screenshot shows a service implementation for the Artist microservice:
