Gateway lockdown

As mentioned earlier in the chapter, the gateway has a lockdown command. The lockdown command makes the gateway a more secure by greatly restricting where the gateway can be commanded from through the user interfaces or command line tools such as those provided with gateway and WLST.

While it is possible to reverse the actions of a gateway lockdown, for obvious reasons these are not simple. As a result, it is not recommended that a gateway be locked down until such time as the setup established as complete and stable. The command to lockdown the gateway is:

./APIGateway -f gateway-props.json -a lockdown
