Summary

In this chapter, the design decisions involved in how the API platform were implemented. The makeup of the different parts of the solution have been examined, both in the cloud layer and the gateway.

This has included exploring the pros and cons of different options and the possible constraints. This has extended to considering aspects of the infrastructure around the gateway such as load balancing and firewalls. With these considerations, the approach has been outlined for our use case—MRA.

The setup of the cloud elements of the solution and the configuration of users and their roles have been walked through. From there the design considerations of the engine of the API platform, the gateway nodes (or just gateways) were explored. ...
