Application rate limiting policies

The application rate limiting policy is used to restrict the number of requests to a given API from each subscribed application. This policy is different to an API rate limit policy where all requests are counted independent of the application. Subscribed applications are displayed in the Registrations tab in the management portal. The rate limit can be set over time periods which are specified in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months.

Rate limits can be applied to the entire gateway or to each node within a gateway. If a gateway has two nodes and you wish to set a limit of 50 requests per minute for an application, this can be configured at node level such that each node can furnish a maximum ...
