In Chapter 1, Platform Overview, the API grants and roles were described. Here, we're going to look specifically at the roles and default users provided within the Oracle configuration. The API platform will default grants to do specific activities based on roles. But is it possible to assign some grants to specific users. The API platform has a number of standard roles, which need to have users associated with them. These roles are established during the installation of the API platform. The following table describes those roles and their purpose, reflecting how they are seen through the WebLogic management view:
