This API will only be available to partner organizations that have been approved, such as retailers, licensing and royalties' organizations such as Performing Rights Society, ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers), and would reflect system to system.
Both partners and retailers will need to have a contractual agreement in place before they can use the partner services being offered. In this case, the provisioning of the API need to include the ability to have the following:
- Partner identifying token as part of access control
- Usage metrics and possibly monetization (fees for API calls)
- Explicit audit trail of each call, as the service utilization could become key to any contractual dispute, either ...
