Securing Linux is a whole subject in its self, and too big to do justice in this book. So, it is recommended that other good sources for information available on securing Linux including books, such as Practical Linux Security Cookbook by Tajinder Kalsi published by Packt Publishing, be reviewed and recommendations applied. It should be noted that part of the filesystem to allow logging policies to work requires the permissions to write files, and for these to be retrieved.
