Why the Failures?

There are many reasons for e-learning failures. Some organizations fail because they don’t adequately prepare for major change. Make no mistake about it; implementing a top-to-bottom e-learning system is tough—as tough as installing an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. It takes planning, leadership, accountability, communications, and commitment.

Some companies have everything in alignment—except the learners. The organization assumes that it knows what’s good for the learners, but it’s wrong. Think of learners as customers. They need to be sold on e-learning.
