BRAINSTORMING | Tips and Tricks
You can brainstorm in a group or independently. Here are some suggestions for effective brainstorming:
Faster is better.
Be quick. You want ideas as they come to mind, before filtering. Energy, spontaneity, and speed work!
Quantity versus quality. More ideas more options.
Encourage wild ideas
Wild or audacious ideas are needed to break through a rigid problem.
Build on other ideas
An idea can be modified into a new idea (also think of opposites of ideas to spark thinking).
DO NOT THINK OF HOW
Come up with the concept before you try to determine how to do it.
Capture everything
Do not filter ideas. Write everything down. Organize and filter after the brainstorm.
