CONCEPT GENERATION TRIGGERS

Anything can spark an idea: a dream, a life experience, a current or historical event, a place, a person or animal, a plant, an object, or a concept. From that first spark, you develop the idea, and you fill in the gaps for the other parts of the story based on the resources you have access to. The initial idea should be something you are drawn to, captivated by, and curious about exploring. Look back to the list of interests that you generated in Chapter 1. These topics are a great jumping-off point to start brainstorming the ideas you would like to explore with your work.
