Along with prioritizing comes turning down projects that don’t serve your long-term goals. It’s difficult to judge in advance which opportunities will pan out into meaningful or important landmarks in your career. Something that seems like small exposure could lead to an introduction to one person who becomes particularly supportive of your work; likewise, something that seems like a great opportunity can be a waste of time and resources.
