Why do you make pictures?

I’m interested in exploring the origin and evolution of life on Earth, through food’s history, symbol, and form. I construct photographic still lifes to create a sense of time—a time that was before, now, and after existence. I hope to reconnect to what we have lost with nature and traditional knowledge about food. I investigate the primitive origin from which food takes form—the earth. I aim to unite culture and nature and document these expressions— as earth, a collective memory of transformation, and existence.
