9. The Power of Presets

A preset is nothing more than a set of processing instructions that are saved for reuse. What makes presets powerful depends on whether or not you actually reuse them. For example, let’s say that after working with Photogene for a while you find that you are always applying a certain setting or combination of settings, such as an exposure increase, a certain curve shape, a little bit of sharpening, and so on. Instead of repeating those same steps with every photo, what if you could create a preset that contains all of those settings and apply it with a tap of a button? Do you see the possibilities for saving time?
