DRAPERIES AND DROPS

Any stagehand should have a good working knowledge of stage draperies. Curtains are used for just about any show that you can think of, and without them the audience could see all of the magic happening backstage. There are different types of curtains intended for use in specific situations. This chapter is a discussion of those different types, as well as construction methods, and the working practices used to hang stage curtains and other fabric scenery.
