A Glimpse into iCloud

iCloud is a new (primarily) free service that Apple is rolling out in full in Fall 2011. There are a few different ways that companies define so-called “cloud computing.” Apple’s approach is to provide storage for your purchased music (and other music in your iTunes library, for a fee), as well as your photos, apps, and documents. It can also manage your e-mail, contacts, and calendars. It keeps track of all these items and makes them accessible on all your devices. Just log in with your Apple ID and all supported items are now available on every device. No more syncing required.
