Synchronous Remote Mirroring
Synchronous remote mirroring is a methodology for data replication between two storage systems that achieves a recovery point objective (RPO) of zero. This means that write operations from the hosts are not acknowledged by the storage device before the data is written successfully to both local and remote systems. The purpose is to have a copy of important data available in the case a disaster happens on one of the two sites.
