Overview of Configuration Models

The configuration model for WebSphere Application Server Version 5 is large and complex. When viewing the XML data in the various configuration files, you can discern relationships between the configuration objects. The illustrations and tables in this appendix attempt to provide an alternative visualization of the configuration models and their associations. Understanding these relationships between configuration objects is essential when writing wsadmin scripts or Java programs that perform configuration functions.
